At University, we were tasked with creating an iPhone app for an event using a language of our choice and exporting it with PhoneGap. I worked to a very tight time limit, getting the app done remarkably quickly.

I chose to pick an event I was well informed with – Electronics Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles, the biggest gaming convention. I decided to make a catalogue and guide for people attending, including a timetable, RSS feed of news from the event, and a guide to all the games being shown and where to find them. I even managed an excellent pun in the name – the lengthy “Electronics Entertainment Expo Experience”. Nice.
I used the AppML HTML Extension as it seemed to suit my purposes perfectly, and exported via PhoneGap. Unfortunately it was not put onto the App Store as I would obviously have to get authorisation and correct times from E3 itself! It was a great project and it was awesome to design for a platform such as iOS.
