So, here we are, it’s my new portfolio! It’s been a long time coming. I’ve been meaning to move to WordPress for ages, and now I finally have, hopefully with enough style, panache and a witty pun or two. I’ll be adding more stuff over the course of the next few days, including older articles, projects, and anything else that comes to mind. Overall this project has taken me approximately 4 solid days of solid work from scratch. I hope it’s worthwhile.
I’ll be updating all the pages and articles and fixing everything that’s terribly written or outdated. Stay tuned and maybe subscribe to the RSS or something if you want to keep up to date on my blog posts.
The intention with this site is to bring my aging portfolio into the modern 2012 age. I originally fell in love with the “Ginnterest” name after Ashley cleverly quipped it while we were at the pub. I endeavoured to immediately buy it before anyone else and abuse it as much as possible. Hopefully it brings a bit of character to this portfolio and doesn’t just look like I’ve just ripped off Pinterest. Pinterest was a huge inspiration in creating this website, and I am happy to admit that – hopefully it helps in bringing my various portfolio items together in a beautiful way.
Stuff to look out for in the next few weeks:
- My dissertation! I’ll be posting my dissertation once I’m able to and it’s been marked. Maybe you’ll enjoy reading it – it’s about Twitter and the relationship with the news.
- More details on Slugfest, my final major project for my degree. Slugfest is due to be finished in the next four weeks, so if you keep an eye on this blog or @SlugfestGame and @jonginn you’ll see me updating various things about it, or you’ll see me heading for a complete meltdown. I’m sure either will be entertaining.
Soon I’ll be finished with university and out into the big bad world of employment. Currently I don’t have anything lined up job-wise, but I’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in giving me a job, no matter where you’re from. I really would love to hear from you. Shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can have a chat. If you like, you can check out my CV.
